HospBiome capsule

20x and 50x Density Human Microbiota Suspension

in lyophilized form for the hospital treatment of Clostridioides difficile infection.

With HospBiome Capsules

Hospital-acquired C. diff. infection can be reduced

HospBiome is specifically designed for the treatment of Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) in hospitalized patients. It is particularly recommended for patients in whom antibiotic therapy has not provided adequate results or who have experienced multiple recurrences of CDI. The product is a high-diversity and well-balanced human microbiota concentrate in a lyophilized form, effectively supporting gut health restoration and reducing the overgrowth of pathogens. Its production adheres to strict quality and safety standards.

High Efficacy
Clinical studies have demonstrated that MTT capsules can significantly reduce the recurrence rate of C. difficile infections by restoring microbial diversity and suppressing the overgrowth of harmful pathogens.

Ready for Immediate Use
HospBiome is a fully prepared and rigorously tested product that can be directly used by healthcare institutions. This eliminates the need for on-site stool processing, donor screening, or complex MTT preparation steps, ensuring a standardized, high-quality therapy while saving time and resources.

Convenient Procedure
The orally administered capsules are easy to store and can be dispensed in outpatient settings, reducing logistical burdens on healthcare institutions and minimizing dependence on specialized procedures. The capsule form significantly improves patient compliance with therapy.

Treatment Process

Treatment Plan:
The exact dosage and treatment duration should be determined by the attending physician, adjusted to the patient's clinical condition, medical history, and tolerance. By default, this means taking 5 capsules per day.
The initial treatment cycle always lasts 6 days and is not recommended to be interrupted. Treatment generally begins with HospBiome 5(L), which should be administered for at least 3 consecutive days. If the frequency of bowel movements decreases, the treatment switches to HospBiome 5(XX), which should be continued until all symptoms and clinically significant complaints resolve.

Outcome Evaluation:
If symptoms have improved but certain issues persist, the possibility of discharging the patient home can be considered, weighing the risk of dehydration. In this case, treatment should continue with 3 capsules of DiffBiome 30+ daily until full remission is achieved.

Capsule Transition:
If symptoms do not improve despite the maximum dose (5 capsules of HospBiome 5(L) per day) being administered for 10 days, a professional consultation is recommended.

Administration and Storage:
Capsules should be taken in the morning on an empty stomach with at least 200 ml of water. After a 30-minute wait, an additional 200 ml of water is recommended. Normal daily activities, meals, and other medications can be resumed afterward. For patients with a nasogastric feeding tube, capsules can be opened, and their contents emulsified in a neutral liquid (water, cold tea, plain yogurt, etc.) for administration.

Follow-up Treatment:
The capsules help eliminate symptoms caused by C. diff., but further treatment is recommended following a protocol designed to resolve dysbiotic conditions. This should include exposure assessment and restoring bacterial balance using TransferBiome capsules.
