IBS and IBD: a new chance for a better quality of life

Through the FindBiome and TransferBiome capsules, microbiota transfer therapy (MTT) offers a scientifically grounded, personalised route to resolving the dysbiosis of patients living with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). You are not alone with your health problem — we accompany you from the first question all the way to long-term balance.

What is IBS and what is IBD?

The IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) is the most common functional gastrointestinal disorder: it involves abdominal pain, bloating and altered bowel function — with constipation (IBS-C), diarrhoea (IBS-D) or a combination of the two (IBS-M). Since there is often no visible inflammation or organic change, establishing the diagnosis is frequently a lengthy process, and many people suffer for years without receiving an adequate answer to their complaints.

The IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) by contrast involves chronic, confirmed inflammation: this group includes ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, coeliac disease and microscopic colitis. These conditions require long-term treatment under medical supervision.

Whichever you are facing, early recognition and microbiota-based support can significantly improve your quality of life — with less pain and more predictable daily routines.

What is dysbiosis, and why does the microbiota matter?

A Dysbiosis is a functional imbalance of the gut flora: the diversity and proportions of the microbes differ from what we see in a healthy intestinal system. Our approach does not centre on the targeted influencing of individual bacterial strains, but on the modification of the microbiota composition as a whole in order to resolve the dysbiosis and, through this, to relieve the symptoms.

The process can also be supplemented by using the DynaMAP profiling tool, which allows us to track progress and refine the protocol where necessary. The result is a treatment plan built on scientific foundations and tailored entirely to your condition.

Which capsule suits your situation? A FindBiome capsules are used for compatibility testing, while the TransferBiome lyophilisate is used for the actual therapeutic course. We provide professional guidance in selecting the appropriate LOT (donor preparation).
This is how the process is structured

Your journey to balance — step by step

We provide continuous support, so you will know what the next task is at every stage of the treatment.

Get in touch

Fill in the form found in the “Contact” menu item. In reply we will send you the most important information, and we will record you as an interested party.

Registration

We will send you a link by e-mail with which you can register as a patient. At that point you receive from us a unique identifier in the P0000000 format, which we will always refer to during the further administration.

Goals and expectations

By completing a short questionnaire, share with us your symptoms, your previous treatments and your expectations of and previous experiences with MTT.

Compatibility test

Once the payment has been credited, we deliver the FindBiome capsules to you within 4 working days, by courier service — conveniently, to your home.

Consultation and DynaMAP

At your own request or that of your treating physician, we establish your own baseline microbiota profile on the basis of a detailed lifestyle assessment (DEMI test) and DynaMAP profiling, and we adapt the further treatment to it.

MTT treatment

With the help of the selected donation and the step-by-step implementation of the defined lifestyle change, we begin the transfer. The capsules are phased out once a symptom-free state has been achieved.

The appropriate treatment

Which capsule is used for what?

The same high-quality donor microbiota, processed in a certified laboratory — in two steps, adapted to your situation.

Detailed protocol of the MTT therapy

Step 1 – Compatibility test (FindBiome). The treatment is carried out with FindBiome 4×15 capsules over 32 days, during which you take capsules on a trial basis over 5-day periods, with 3-day breaks in between. During this time you will keep a symptom and food diary, which we analyse at the end and whose result we also share with your treating physician. The aim of the compatibility test is not a change in condition; we concentrate on screening for potential side effects. The cost of the test: 1.140 € + shipping cost.

Step 2 – Clinical consultation and DynaMAP analysis (optional). If you would like to understand your own microbiota profile in more depth, we carry out a DynaMAP analysis and you can also make use of a consultation: the DynaMAP analysis costs 395 €, the consultation 185 €, and the result is ready within 16–20 days. The examination requires a complete, homogenised, refrigerated faecal sample processed within 4 hours of collection — we send you a separate sampling kit for this purpose.

Step 3 – The optional consultation is followed by the MT therapy carried out with TransferBiome capsules. On the basis of the result of the compatibility test, the process continues with the best-matching composition within the framework of a 60-day therapeutic course. We set the number of capsules, we continue keeping the symptom and food diary, and your treating physician directs the treatment throughout. Price: 1.350 € / 60 capsules.

Step 4 – Gradual phasing out and establishing long-term balance. As soon as the symptoms improve to the desired extent, the daily dose can be gradually reduced under medical guidance. In this phase it is essential to maintain a lifestyle that supports the balance achieved — through nutrition, exercise and stress management.

What is worth paying attention to during the treatment:
  • Avoid taking antibiotics and probiotics, unless your treating physician advises otherwise.
  • Regularly consume fermented foods with live cultures — for example kefir or lacto-fermented vegetables.
  • Choose animal protein free from additives and antibiotics.
  • Avoid artificial sweeteners.

MicroBiome Bank does not sell a product; it connects donors and recipients by providing professional medical services: it organises the recruitment of donors and their screening in a certified laboratory, the faecal examinations, and the processing of the screened donation into capsule form. The contents of the capsules remain the property of the donor until the recipient has paid in full. The brand names of the services serve to make them easier to remember. Known side effects may include temporary discomfort, diarrhoea, constipation or a mild fever. The capsules are delivered “to the hands of the physician” and are to be used exclusively under the direction of a treating physician. For detailed information, please contact us.
