Was steht in der Bibliografie?

Dieser Anhang versammelt die vollständige Bibliografie des Buches an einer Stelle: jede wissenschaftliche Quelle, die in irgendeinem Kapitel des Bandes zitiert wird. Die Zahlen `[12]`, `[325]` und weitere im Fließtext verweisen auf die unten aufgeführten Einträge – die Nummerierung läuft durch das gesamte Buch, sodass dieselbe Referenznummer `[N]` immer auf dieselbe Quelle verweist. Die weitaus meisten der aufgeführten Publikationen sind in peer-reviewten Fachzeitschriften erschienen und auch in indexierten Datenbanken (PubMed/NCBI, Crossref) auffindbar, von renommierten Fachverlagen.

Warum steht unter jedem Eintrag eine Zusammenfassung?

Unter jeder Quelle steht eine Synopse von 5–6 Sätzen. Das ist nicht das offizielle Abstract des Artikels, sondern eine kurze, allgemeinverständliche Zusammenfassung, die den Hintergrund der Studie, die verwendete Methode, das Hauptergebnis und dessen klinische oder praktische Bedeutung darstellt. Sie soll es den Lesenden ermöglichen, rasch zu entscheiden, ob sich die vollständige Publikation zu lesen lohnt und ob sie zur eigenen Fragestellung oder zur Situation der Patientin oder des Patienten passt. Die Zusammenfassungen helfen bei der Orientierung auch ohne direkten Zugang zum Volltext.

Wie wird sie benutzt?

Unter jedem Eintrag finden Sie die Zeile "Zitiert in": ein Klick auf die dort angezeigte Kapitelnummer führt Sie in den Teil des Buches zurück, in dem die Quelle zitiert wird. Innerhalb dieses Kapitels führt ein Klick auf die Markierung `[N]` die Lesenden hierher, in die Bibliografie – Sie können sich also frei in beide Richtungen bewegen. Ein Klick auf die mit "Link" gekennzeichnete Referenz öffnet die Publikation auf der Seite des Verlags oder von NCBI, wo sich – sofern der Artikel frei zugänglich ist (Open Access) – auch der Volltext lesen lässt.
